Loading, storage, discharging, conditioning of
liquid products in bulk
The Garolla S.r.l. shore installation company was founded in
1957
The
company is presently located near the discharging wharfs of the port of
Naples and acts on the behalf of third parties. Garolla's area
encompasses three shoretanks with a total storage capacity of 21,000
cubic meters, handling liquid products in bulk under the "C"
classification for chemicals coming from Italy, European Community
countries or other points in the world. The plants are strategically
situated near service roads directly linked to the Port.
Each Garolla plant is equipped with regulated
electronic platform scales used to determine tankcars' tare and cargo
weight, as well as thermic power stations used for heating the products
in stock.
Shoretanks are linked up to the quaies through
stainless steel pipes built into tunnels
which link up directly to ships' manifolds.
Each shoretank is further equipped with regularly
calibrated electronic ballcocks meters, as well as external indicators
and electronic transmitters of data located in proper control rooms.
Garolla's plants have fire-prevention installations
with carefully regulated central system controls.
